Pearls of the duet art

Soprano Katharina Konradi and mezzo-soprano Catriona Morison not only harmonise excellently on stage, but also in their passion for the lied repertoire and especially the duet repertoire. In the pianist Ammiel Bushakevitz, a student of Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, the two high-calibre singers have found their ideal accompanist. With romantic and late-romantic art songs by German, Spanish and French composers, they have put together a programme full of musical and personal references - almost all of the composers performed were known to each other. In addition to duets by the famous song composers Schumann, Brahms, Fauré and Chausson, the programme also includes rarely heard musical gems by the two singers, composers and sisters María Malibran and Pauline Viardot. The songs tell of love, heartache, seduction, joie de vivre and the forces of nature.
