Presented by Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft

Greetings from the Far East

As a child he wanted to become a librarian or an astronaut, today Francesco Tristano makes guest appearances in renowned concert halls and hip techno clubs. The pianist, producer and composer oscillates between musical worlds: He is considered a specialist in contemporary and baroque music, but jazz, techno and electro music are also part of his paradigm. His numerous award-winning albums include Bach's »Goldberg Variations« and Berio's complete piano works as well as his own music, which combines (neo-)classical music, minimal music and techno. With »Tokyo Stories,« named after the 1953 Japanese film classic, the Luxembourg native sets a personal monument to the Far Eastern metropolis. If you want to know how Tokyo sounds to Francesco Tristano's ears, you shouldn't miss his return to the Wiener Konzerthaus!
