The Filarmónica Joven de Colombia's support program for young talents between the ages of 17 and 24 has produced more than 450 orchestral musicians since 2010. No less than Katia and Marielle Labèque lend solo brilliance to the Konzerthaus debut of the Colombian orchestra – for example in Gonzalo Grau's »Nazareno«. The work is based on motifs from Osvaldo Golijov's rhythm-influenced St. Mark Passion and was commissioned by the French duo in 2009. The Filarmónica Joven de Colombia also pulls the strings on Igor Stravinsky's »Petrushka« and performs music by their compatriot Wolfgang Ordoñez with »Travesía.«
