»To love Schubert means [...] to master the art of patience,« writes Khatia Buniatishvili about the composer to whom she dedicates her recital.
The history of jazz is marked by music-making siblings – from the Adderleys to the Heath Brothers to the Turrentines.
Federspiel has a new album in the luggage! As the title suggests, it is about absorption and reflection.

Shostakovich described his friend Mieczysław Weinberg's trumpet concerto as a »symphony with a trumpet«. Since the latter had sent the Russian composer his first symphony, he was not only supported by him, but an intimate friendship developed between the two, who from then on inspired each other musically. Håkan Hardenberger, whom the Times once called »the best trumpeter in the galaxy«, interprets this trumpet concerto, which is full of wit and musical quotations, under the baton of the trained trumpeter Andris Nelsons. The programme also includes Shostakovich's mocking Ninth Symphony and Dvořák's Sixth, composed for the Vienna Philharmonic in 1880.
