Six cycles offer all film, music and literature enthusiasts the opportunity to draw on the full range of the program: »Film + Musik live« takes you back to the golden era of silent film. First-class live music to masterpieces such as Chaplin's »City Lights« will be provided by the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra under Timothy Brock, among others. If you would like background information and an insight into the cultural-historical contexts of masterpieces, for example by Johannes Brahms, we recommend »Musik im Gespräch«: Experts of the very highest caliber discuss Beethoven's symphonies, among other things, which are then performed by top-class interpreters such as Jordi Savall's Le Concert des Nations. And four cycles await friends of the written word: »Literatur im Konzerthaus« (with readers such as Lars Eidinger and Sandra Hüller), »Originalton« (with Navid Kermani as a guest) and »Musik und Dichtung«, which can be experienced both at lunchtime and in the evening for the first time: under the motto »Wa(hr)e Gefühle«, we take a journey through the life of homo oeconomicus, who is looking for his place in the sun.
