With »Film + Musik live«, you can watch silent film classics such as Fritz Lang's »The Nibelungs« with live musical accompaniment, in this case by the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Frank Strobel. »Musik im Gespräch« offers you the opportunity to start the concert evening with illuminating insights through introductory talks with experts. Well-known actors read from works of literary history in »Literatur im Konzerthaus«, while the authors themselves take the floor in »Originalton«. And »Musik und Dichtung zu Mittag« and »Musik und Dichtung am Abend« retrace the downfall of the Hanseatic merchant family »Buddenbrooks« with musically framed readings, just in time for the Thomas Mann memorial year.
