A departure for the Romantic era
A close artistic partnership: Dutch violinist Janine Jansen and the Camerata Salzburg combine intensive collaboration with worldwide concert appearances. After many performances of Mozart violin concertos, they now delight audiences with Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor. In this great lyrical concerto and in Mendelssohn's faith-filled 5th Symphony, the Camerata will be led by Gregory Ahss from the concertmaster's desk. Jansen and Ahss have already established a close musical partnership in several chamber music projects, which will now also come to fruition in Mendelssohn's symphonically expanded violin concerto.
