Human Groove
Brandt Brauer Frick is a techno project from Berlin. Formed in 2008, the group of eponymous founding members Daniel Brandt, Jan Brauer and Paul Frick are classically trained musicians whose music seeks to bridge the gap between modern electronic dance music and classical music. To do so, they use pre-recorded instrumental parts of classical instruments, which are further processed as samples into their style inspired by techno and minimalism. »I first had to study composition for eight years to like techno,« Frick told the Berliner Tagesspiegel. However, he doesn't mean synthetic producer techno with blunt bass grooves and whipping noisebrakes, but rather a physical club music that, with the exception of a Moog synthesizer, does without the aid of machines. The groove of Brandt Brauer Frick, it is deeply human.
