Great Talent
The »Great Talent« support programme of the Wiener Konzerthaus is designed for sustainability: Julia Hagen has been a Great Talent since 2019; this season she will perform Dvořák's Cello Concerto. Vivi Vassileva, »Great Talent« since 2020, interprets an arrangement of Shostakovich's 15th Symphony with colleagues and the piano trio around our former »Great Talent« Narek Hakhnazaryan. And the Simply Quartet, which missed out on the 2021/22 season due to a pandemic, will be able to catch up with the premiere of Julia Lacherstorfer's »Un:fold«. A new addition is Anton Gerzenberg, who won the Concours Géza Anda in June 2021. In addition to performances with the Wiener Symphoniker and in the series »Fascination Chamber Music«, he enriches our portrait of Ligeti with a complete performance of his Etudes, which enormously expand the playing techniques.
