After the great success of the first edition, the »Cuvée« cycle is starting its second season. Once again, the name says it all: top-class concerts meet equally top-class wines. As in German »Cuvée« refers to the blending of different types of wine, the concerts gathered in the cycle of the same name also come from different musical spheres. The Wiener Symphoniker with our portrait artist Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, who also takes up the violin himself for Haydn's Sinfonia concertante, the SWR Symphonieorchester under its chief conductor Teodor Currentzis and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra offer a colourful bouquet of popular pieces in different styles. In addition, there will be the debuts of singer-songwriters Sílvia Pérez Cruz from Spain and Achinoam Nini, called Noa, from Israel in a joint concert and a joint project by local instrumentalists Thomas Gansch and Herbert Pixner - world music in the best sense of the word.
