pre-concert COMpanion
The chamber choir of the BORG Wiener Neustadt, which is performing the COMpanion pre-concert this time, has a long tradition. Its foundation dates back to the time when the school was still a »teacher training college«. This choir has always brought together the most ambitious singers among the pupils, united by their enthusiasm for challenging choral literature from a wide range of styles. The choir not only performs regularly at concerts and festivals within the school, but also to a wide audience outside the school. Highlights of the choir's musical activities in recent years have included participation in the Bundesjugendsingen in Graz in 2017, the fall concert of the Chorszene Niederösterreich in the Klangraum Krems in 2019, a performance at the Wiener Stimmbogen-Fest 2022 and participation in the Niederösterreichisches Landesjugendsingen 2023 in Grafenegg. The chamber choir of the BORG Wiener Neustadt has been conducted by Karin Vogl since 2007.
