Winter Journey with the Strottern and the Musicbanda Franui

What happens when an East Tyrolean and a Viennese group of musicians meet on the island of Rügen? This is what happened a few years ago in winter: The Innervillgratener Musicbanda Franui, the "transformer station between classical music, folk music, jazz and contemporary chamber music", and the Viennese song duo Klemens Lendl and David Müller aka "Die Strottern" found each other musically: For two weeks, they made music on Rügen; in the process, the two ensembles discovered a strong common denominator: their fondness for the music of Franz Schubert. "This is what it must have sounded like when Schubert sang Winterreise to his friends from the countryside!" was the enthusiastic conclusion - and the idea of the "Franzensfeste" project was born, which was to be followed by many entertaining, amusing and also somewhat sentimental concert evenings.
