From blues to Austropop

Since 2011, when he opened a show in the Great Hall of the Vienna Konzerthaus for blues legend B. B. King, Norbert Schneider has undergone an astonishing development that has seen him rise to the Olympus of Austrian music with three Amadeus Awards in the "Jazz/World/Blues" category. He is still connected to the blues, but in the meantime he has long since ceased to be solely attributable to it, because since 2013 Norbert Schneider has been singing predominantly in Viennese dialect.
