Subscription series Hagen Quartett

Presented by Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft

Munich - Salzburg - Vienna

With its own subscription cycle, which dates back to 1983, the Hagen Quartet is one of the mainstays of quartet activity at the Vienna Konzerthaus. The ensemble, which achieved international fame not least with a recording of the complete string quartets of its Salzburg compatriot Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, opens its first concert of the current season with the first two of Mozart's six »Haydn Quartets«. Not for Mozart's, but for his own clarinet quintet, Jörg Widmann joins the Hagen Quartet this evening - he, too, is a musician who is an indispensable part of chamber music at the Wiener Konzerthaus.
