Metalli Sonori

The Viennese imperial court has always been a safe address for musical extravagance. One of its aesthetic specialties, for example, was music for voice and virtuoso obbligato trombone and/or trumpet parts, such as those left by the court kapellmeisters Ziani, Fux or Caldara. Some rare examples of this can be experienced in the concert by the Schwanthaler Trompetenconsort, which also celebrates the winner of the 11th International Vocal Competition for Baroque Opera »Pietro Antonio Cesti« of the Innsbruck Early Music Festival 2020: Margherita Maria Sala is the new star in the alto sky and her voice is balm for the soul.
