General Terms and Conditions for Sales and Subscriptions of the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft
These General Terms and Conditions for Sales and Subscriptions apply to all deliveries or services by the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft, in particular for the sale of tickets for events organized by the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft.
In case of events organized by visiting presenters (»Mietveranstaltungen«) Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft is instructed and authorized by the respective event organizer to act as agent for the sale of all or part of the tickets on behalf of and for the account of the event organizer, to process payments and to take over any other tasks in connection with the event. In case of such events (Mietveranstaltungen), the buyer enters into a legal relationship with the respective organizer. Further information on such events (Mietveranstaltungen) may be obtained at the Ticket- & Service-Center or the respective event organizer.
Ticket orders and purchases
are binding in any form. Ticket reservations are not possible. No returns of purchased or ordered tickets are possible. In case of sold-out concerts, the sale of tickets on consignment may be agreed on for a fee of 10%. For orders regarding subscriptions and packages, please note the special terms for subscriptions and packages below.
Advance booking of tickets
Information on the start of ticket sales or extended advance booking for individual concerts can be found under the details on the event of your choice. On our website you can chose the option to be reminded by e-mail when tickets for a specific event go on sale.
For members of the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft, tickets are available at least seven days before tickets go on sale to the general public.
Ticket purchase by telephone
is possible by credit card. The tickets may be collected until directly before the event at the Ticket- & Service-Center. No refunds will be given for tickets that have not been collected.
print@home Ticket and Mobile Ticket
For tickets sold by telephone and online, the option for delivery as print@home is available. For tickets sold online, delivery as mobile ticket is also available.
For the safe use of print@home tickets or mobile ticket, please note: Only the first printout of a print@home ticket or the first mobile ticket presented is valid for entry; entry does not depend on identification as purchaser of the ticket. After the first-time electronic scanning of the barcode/QR-code, the ticket is blocked for further access. Further printouts or copies of print@home tickets or the subsequent presentation of identical mobile tickets are not valid for entry nor permit the exchange or a refund of the ticket price. Please keep your printouts or data safe and secure them from unauthorized access by third parties.
On request, purchased goods and tickets may be delivered by mail (with the exception of goods and tickets purchased by telephone). Dispatch will occur within 5 working days following receipt of payment.
Deposit at the Ticket- & Service-Center
On request, purchased goods and tickets may be deposited at the Ticket- & Service-Center. We reserve the right to deliver them only after full payment of the purchase price and all connected charges and fees. The time limit for personal collection is indicated on the receipt sent to you.
Availability, change of price category
In case of written orders of tickets and orders for subscriptions and packages, if the desired price category is no longer available, tickets, subscriptions or packages, respectively, will be allocated in the next higher or lower price category.
A handling fee of € 2.50 per transaction applies to online orders with postal delivery and all written orders (including orders by email) for individual tickets, gift certificates and articles. Online-purchases and written orders of subscriptions, packages and memberships are processed at no extra charge.
Admission to Events
The right to admission to an event is only acquired upon full payment of the ticket acquired for this purpose including all charges and fees. The Wiener Konzerthaus fulfills its obligation to grant access to the event in discharge of its debt against first presentation of a ticket. The Wiener Konzerthaus is entitled to deny access to persons presenting a ticket if they have not acquired the right to access the event for lack of full payment of the ticket. This applies mutatis mutandis if a payment initially made is subsequently reversed.
Withdrawal rights for purchase of tickets, subscriptions and packages
Under § 18 para 1 subpara 10 of the Austrian Act on Distance Business (Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetzes – FAGG) there is no right of withdrawal in respect of services rendered in connection with recreational activities if a certain time or timeframe is contractually stipulated for the contract performance. Under § 4 para 1 subpara 11 FAGG we herewith inform you that there is no right of withdrawal in case of the acquisition of tickets, subscriptions and packages.

The statutory warranty provisions apply.
Your data are processed for the fulfillment of contracts and carrying out pre-contractual measures, for meeting statutory requirements and for safeguarding legitimate interests. Further information on data processing, storage period and your rights can be found in our Privacy Statement.
Data processing in case of cooperation events: For events held by the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft in cooperation with the Wiener Symphoniker, the Klangforum Wien, the Musikverein Wien Modern or the European Forum Alpbach (see notes when purchasing online, or in the »Konzerthaus Nachrichten«), your data are processed by both cooperation partners. In these cases, your right to information, rectification, deletion, and objection apply vis-à-vis both cooperation partners. Further information can be found in our Privacy Statement.
of cast, venue, or program do not constitute grounds for return or exchange of the tickets. This also applies to change of date of individual events within the scope of a subscription or package.
The information on our website is updated daily. Changes that become known to us in time are included in the »Konzerthaus Nachrichten«. We will also notify you in writing to the last indicated (email or postal) address of any substantial changes. In order to guarantee that all visitors can be informed of any changes we ask that tickets only be booked under the names of the persons that will be using them.
If a concert is cancelled, a substitute concert is generally offered. Otherwise we ask that you return your tickets to the Ticket- & Service-Center within six months of the originally planned date of the event.
For visitors requiring a wheelchair seat, wheelchair-accessible tickets are available for all events at special conditions.
For the purchase of individual tickets, wheelchair seats are available up to one week before the events. A seat for an escort in close proximity is available at special ticket prices. For ordering individual tickets for a wheelchair seat, first click on «Purchase Tickets» in the event of your choice under Programme and Tickets, and then under price categories «Order wheel chair seat». If the icon and the wording are not shown, no more wheelchair seats are available for the event.
When ordering a wheelchairseat subscription, the price includes one accompanying person. If subscriptions without an accompanying personare required, the subscription price is reduced by the escort share. Please tick the appropriate box during the order process.
Visual and sound recordings
are not permitted during the performance.
Consent to publication of your image
It is possible that during the event attended by you, photos or movies are recorded by us or by accredited individuals, or TV Recordings are made for the immediate live program (hereinafter jointly referred to as »Recordings«). By acquiring your ticket, you give your consent to the publication or other public dissemination (e.g. on TV or in the Internet) of any Recordings on which you might be visible, in order to inform the public of the event in question, the performing artists or the Wiener Konzerthaus and its program in general. Your consent hereby also relates to the publication and dissemination of the requisite Recordings for these purposes by third parties making such Recordings with the approval of the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft, or to whom the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft makes such Recordings available.
By acquiring an admission ticket, the visitor agrees to the House Rules of the Wiener Konzerthaus.
Retention of title
All required objects remain the property of the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft until the full payment of the purchase price and all connected charges and fees.
Forms of payment
In case of online purchases, the following forms of payment are available:
SEPA-Direct debit mandate: You grant Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft (1030 Vienna, Lothringerstraße 20; Creditor-ID: AT24ZZZ00000028216) the one-time authorization to debit the amount due from your account. At the same time, you instruct your bank to debit your account. Note: You may demand a refund of the debited amount within eight weeks of the debit date. The terms agreed with your bank apply. The amount due will be debited.
Credit card: Visa, Euro/Mastercard, Diners Club, American Express, JCB. The amount due will be charged to your credit card.
For written orders, payment is possible by SEPA-direct debit mandate, by credit card, by wire transfer (Online Banking/payment slip) or, in case of personal collection, directly at the Ticket- & Service-Center (automatic banking terminals available). In addition, a cash dispenser is available outside the Ticket- & Service-Center.
Purchases by telephone may only be paid by credit card.
Special provisions on the acquisition of memberships
As member of the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft you enjoy a number of advantages and benefits. A detailed compilation of benefits may be found on our website under the individual types of membership. In addition, your membership documents your special bond with the artistic program and the goals of the Wiener Konzerthaus.
The membership fee in each case refers to one season (1 September to 31 August).
Existing memberships are renewed for another season until further notice. Should no continuation of a membership be desired for the coming season, we ask you to send us your written cancellation.
Special provisions on the acquisition of subscriptions and packages
When acquiring subscriptions and packages, please note the following features (in addition to the special terms noted above under various points):
Sequence and processing time of orders
Orders are processed according to time of receipt and available seats. Continued subscriptions by regular subscription holders received by 10 May 2019 will be processed preferentially over new requests for subscriptions. Generally, your order will be processed within 4 to 6 weeks following receipt of the order. Should the fulfillment of your request for subscriptions not be possible within this time period for organizational reasons (in whole or in part), you will be notified in writing. Your order remains valid until its final processing, or cancellation by you.
Continued subscriptions (»Regular seats«)
Your subscriptions from the last season will be held until 10 May 2019 (receipt of order). Your order should arrive by this date if you wish to renew your subscriptions. In order to allow us to clearly identify your order as a continued subscription and process it preferentially, we ask that you tick the box »Renewal« when ordering online or on your order form for subscriptions, even if you order the cycle in a different price category or a different number of tickets than before. In the cycles GRT, GM, G, Cl, TR, PI, CO, M4U, VWS, YOU and NH as well as all optional additional concerts, special and replacement cycles, it is not possible to retain your regular seats or to reserve your subscription from the last season.
The price categories of the desired seats can be found in the appropriate seating plan, which is on our website for each individual cycle. Wherever possible, we assign adjacent seats. We will be happy to take your seating wishes into consideration, but ask for your understanding that many seats are already occupied by regular subscription holders from the previous year. In order to facilitate your choice, we have marked the price categories where we know from experience that they are usually sold out to regular subscription holders with an asterisk.
Additional orders for subscriptions
If you place additional orders at a later point in time, please mark them with »Nachbestellung« (»Follow-Up Order«) in the personal notes. This will help us accelerate the processing of your order.
Youth subscriptions require a youth membership, which is offered to those born after 1 July 1993. For this purpose, please complete the field «Date of birth». Provided no youth membership has been applied for for the season 2019/20, it will automatically be invoiced when a youth subscription is ordered. If youth subscriptions are ordered together with other subscriptions, we ask that you kindly submit a separate order for each youth member or state the name and birth date of the youth member in your order. In all cycles (with the exception of cycles MJ, KB, G, CI, TR, PI, CO, M4U, VWS and NH) a quota of youth subscriptions for youth members is reserved in which each ticket costs € 12,–. There is no claim to a regular seat. For each youth member, only one youth subscription is sold per cycle; it is non-transferable. Transfer of a ticket to another person is subject to a surcharge to the normal price. The paid youth subscriptions must be collected personally at the Ticket- & Service Center upon presentation of the invoice sent to you and a valid photo ID by 30 August 2019 at the latest. When attending events, please keep the membership card and an official I.D. available for inspection.
By ticking the box »no overlaps desired« you may avoid receiving double sets of tickets for a concert if the same concert is offered in two subscriptions ordered by you. The total price for one of the two cycles will be reduced accordingly.
Should concerts in different cycles be scheduled for the same date, you can exchange the tickets for one of these concerts from 2 September 2019 onwards (but no later than three weeks before the performance) against another concert of your choice for which individual tickets are already on sale (subject to availability of tickets). The value of your subscription tickets will then be credited to the purchase price of the new concert tickets (identical or higher category).
Special Provisions in connection with withdrawal rights
For all purchases with the exception of subscriptions, packages and individual tickets, you are entitled to withdraw from this contract without stating reasons. The withdrawal right may be exercised within fourteen days following the date on which you or a third party designated by you who is not the carrier take or takes, as the case may be, possession of the goods.
Your withdrawal right is exercised by informing us (Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft, Lothringerstraße 20, 1030 Vienna, Telefax: +43 1 24200-110, e-mail: email@example.com) by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by mail, telefax or e-mail) regarding your decision to withdraw from this contract. For this purpose you may use the sample withdrawal form on our website, which, however, is not mandatory.
The withdrawal period is observed by mailing the notification on the exercise of the withdrawal right before the expiry of the withdrawal period.
Consequences of withdrawal
If you withdraw from the contract, we will be obligated to repay to you all payments received from you, including processing fees, without delay and within fourteen days at the latest from the date on which the notification of your withdrawal from this agreement is received by us. For this repayment we will use the same form of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise; on no account will you be charged for such repayment.
Repayment may be refused until the earlier of receipt of the returned goods or you have provided evidence that the goods have been sent back.
You are bound to return or hand over to us the goods without delay, in any case within fourteen days from the date on which you notify us of your withdrawal from this agreement. The time limit is observed if the goods are sent before the expiry of the fourteen-day time limit.
You pay the immediate costs of the return delivery of the goods.
You will only be held responsible for any loss in value of the goods if such loss in value is caused by your handling of the goods that goes beyond what is necessary for checking the quality, properties and functioning of the goods.
