The French-Lebanese trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf is currently one of the most popular instrumentalists on the French music scene. He is characterized by his oriental-influenced, emotionally profound jazz mix and the skilful fusion of different musical genres. With the »Trumpet of Michel-Ange« project, Ibrahim Maalouf is opening a new chapter in his musical oeuvre.

The »Abpfiff 2023« (»Final Whistle 2023«) with whistler Nikolaus Habjan will be humorous and virtuosic. Karl Markovics and Katharina Stemberger give an ovation to the duo Gerhard Bronner and Georg Kreisler. Dmitri Shostakovich's 10th Symphony, composed in 1953, is interpreted by the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Shostakovich expert Michael Sanderling: he leads the orchestra through Shostakovich's opus, which is accompanied by the animated film »Oh to Believe in Another World« by South African artist William Kentridge.
