True golden throats of opera evoke the golden age of beautiful singing: Pretty Yende and Nadine Sierra, two of the most sought-after young sopranos, enchant with a selection of arias and duets from Mozart to the 20th century. Pretty Yende has long been able to take the Viennese audience by storm as Adina and Violetta. Nadine Sierra has made herself scarce so far. But now she makes her debut with Great Voices! Accompanied by the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra Bratislava under Pablo Mielgo, the aim is to show that every era has its golden musical moments, even if the moonlight only shines silver. Italian bel canto crowned this in the masterpieces of Donizetti and Bellini. The 20th century is not inferior to this by any means: Just think of classics like »Somewhere« and »I Feel Pretty« from Bernstein's »West Side Story«.
