A gifted improviser in league with the trio

Sullivan Fortner is a multi-talented musician - he has made a name for himself worldwide as a pianist, composer, bandleader and uncompromising individualist. His collaboration with jazz greats such as Dianne Reeves, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Stefon Harris and Fred Hersch is also outstanding. He also has fruitful collaborations with the younger generation: the Grammy award-winner from New Orleans received international praise for his joint work »The Window« (2018) with multiple Grammy winner, singer and composer Cécile McLorin Salvant. As a soloist, he released »Moments Preserved« (2018) and »Aria« (2015) - also to critical acclaim. Fortner, who now lives in New York, was honored as a »Rising Star - Piano« and »Rising Star - Jazz Artist«. The gifted improviser can now be heard for the first time with his own band at the Wiener Konzerthaus.
