Beethoven and Mendelssohn in historical performance practice

Violinist Amandine Beyer, cellist Marco Ceccato and pianist Dmitry Ablogin, winners of numerous competitions, including the 1st International Chopin Competition for Historic Instruments 2018, are fully committed to the original sound.
The three experts in historical performance practice have a program dedicated to Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Ludwig van Beethoven: In addition to Mendelssohn's Piano Trio op. 66, some of his »Songs without Words«, the epitome of musical romanticism, will also be heard. The evening begins with Beethoven's Piano Trio op. 1/2 - however, the piano trio only received its opus number when it was published in 1795, although it is not certain whether it was given to Beethoven himself or to the dedicatee Prince Karl Lichnowsky.
