Margaret Atwood: Penelope and the twelve maidens

Penelope and Odysseus in a modern guise: a reading by Canadian author Margaret Atwood that invites a change of perspective and transfers the myth into the 21st century - including a change of media and genre. »The Penelopiad« was published in 2005 as part of the first of the »Canongate Myth Series«, in which contemporary authors reworked myths in literary form.
