»Liszt reincarnated«

Like many of his colleagues, the 25-year-old pianist Alexandre Kantorow made a name for himself early on. But what makes him stand out among all the piano talents is his artistic unconditionality. Three years ago, this led to him becoming the first French pianist to win the gold medal at the Tchaikovsky Competition. Further international successes followed, and his Liszt interpretations in particular bear witness to the fact that the verdict of one magazine that he is quasi »Liszt reincarnated« is not a marketing slogan. Kantorow has already performed several times at the Vienna Konzerthaus, and now he is making his recital debut in the Great Hall: naturally with music by Franz Liszt.
