Three arts, one event

In the beginning was the word. Christoph Ransmayr, widely known for novels such as »The Terrors of Ice and Darkness«, »Cox or the Course of Time«, and »The Fall Master. A Short History of Killing«, penned ballads and poems that would appear in the volume »Under a Sugar Sky«. German artist Anselm Kiefer, associated with Ashes and Lead, was inspired by these to create flowing watercolors with quotes from the poems. On the podium of the Mozart Hall, the concert of the arts will be joined by guitarist Wolfgang Muthspiel, who will bring to life the transformation of words into painting. Kiefer's paintings are projected onto a large screen, while Christoph Ransmayr himself recites his ballads and Wolfgang Muthspiel plays - all condensed into a single event.
