Cult Colouratura Soprano

Critics go into raptures over her voice: The New York Sun called her »the world's best coloratura soprano«, in the Guardian she was celebrated as a »cult figure of our time«. International operatic fame is assured for Diana Damrau – she sang her most important roles at the New York Met – but she has also made a name for herself as a lieder and concert singer. At Great Voices, the soprano creates a pre-Christmas mood with a contemplative programme: in the middle of Advent, she interprets works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Händel and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as well as selected Christmas carols. She will be accompanied by the Munich Radio Orchestra and conductor Jérémie Rhorer.
