Greats of flamenco

Because his father was called »Tomato«, the little José Fernández Torres was called »Tomatito«. The diminutive form may be surprising today, since Tomatito has long been considered one of the greats of flamenco guitar. Until his death, he accompanied the legendary cantaor Camarón de la Isla. Influenced by this as well as by Paco de Lucía, the guitarist, who was born in Andalusia, also integrates jazz, rock or funk into his playing with great success. He has already performed several times at the Vienna Konzerthaus, and this flamenco evening will also feature first-class singing, palmas and dancing.
