In Europe they are certainly among the best known dances: the waltz and the jig. You can experience both in a completely dusted-off form on a single evening, performed by two different trios. Square Waltz from Vienna counteract with their ensemble name not for nothing the triple time of the waltz. The starting point of their music is always Vienna and its musical heritage. However, clichés are brushed against the grain, so that "Viennese blood" sounds like jazz.
The Moynihans family has been enriching the Irish folk scene with sophisticated arrangements for three decades. The musicians are inspired by Irish and Breton traditions and combine classical, traditional and contemporary elements. After family members have performed in various formations around the world, three of the siblings have now joined forces to form The Moynihans to perform with fiddle, bagpipes and guitar.
