Nightsongs

Over the years, Martin Klein – true to the title of one of his best songs – has indulged in the purist principle of »no overdubs«. The Austrian singer-songwriter's »Nachtlieder« now combines both minimal piano and epically broad spirited rock band arrangements. Behind them are guitarist Michael Knoll, bassist Manuel Brunner and drummer Andreas Moser, who accompany Klein emphatically/empathetically, without false fear of the heavier demeanor, but thankfully also never in a showy or ornate manner.
